Squink Remote — Privacy Policy

The short version

Squink Remote collects nothing. No analytics, no tracking, no ads, no accounts with us. Everything the app does happens between your device and your own Squink server on your own network.

What the app connects to

Squink Remote is a companion app for the Squink media server. It talks only to the server you point it at — typically a machine in your own home. Your login details for that server are sent to that server alone, and your session token is stored on your device.

Local network access

The app asks for Local Network permission so it can discover Squink servers and players on your Wi-Fi. That discovery happens entirely on your network. Nothing about your network or your media is sent to us or to any third party.

Demo mode

The built-in demo runs a sample library entirely on your device. It makes no internet connections at all.

What we collect

Nothing. We run no servers for this app, so there is nothing for us to collect, store, sell or lose.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this address.
